Lockdown 2020
I can't let this weird time we're in pass by unnoticed, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet. It's a time of uncertainty and worry for people all around the world. We've not faced anything like this in my lifetime, and I hope we won't again to be honest. It's a time which has brought both negative points in my life, but also positives too. I've definitely been affected in terms of my work through all of this - pony and car shows cancelled, weddings postponed until 2021. My packed out diary for the summer is now, quite frankly, empty! It's times like this that I'm glad I have other businesses that I run as well as it means I have some income. I can't help but feel for everyone out there who's struggling through these very hard times. I only wish there was something I could do to help.
On the positive side, I have much more time to spend with my own horse Gilly, and I'm getting some well needed, enforced days off. A time to recuperate and reset myself. A time to do things I'm usually struggling to find time for - catch up on training programmes I'm on, do some yoga, get out in the countryside now we're allowed back out and write blogs! It's also a time for reflecting upon things that we can sometimes take for granted. Browsing the shops, visiting the Cotswolds, and generally having the freedom that we're so used to. It should also be a time to realise what's really important in life, and should we be in a rush to get things back to normal? I'm not so sure we should.
Anyway, here's a few photos I've taken during lockdown. I've not done a great deal, as like I say, I have my other businesses I've been working on, but now it'll be a case of starting to add in a little more work on the photography side, so if anybody needs my services, do drop me a message.
